Bombardment, deployment and aerial activity by the Turkish army

HPG firstly reported about the drone activities and flights of war planes carried out by the Turkish air forces over the guerrilla areas. According the statement of the HPG, the following flights were carried out by the Turkish forces:

- Drone activity over Heftanin area of Medya Defence Zones at between 03:00 - 06:00 on 13 July, and reconnaissance flights at between 12:00 -13:00 on 12 July,

- Activity of war planes and drones over Martyr Remzi area in the triangle of Lice, Kulp and Genç districts at between 20:30 - 22:30 on 12 July,

-Drone activity over Piran district of Amed at between 03:00 - 06:00 on 13 July,

-Drone activity over Kızılağaç area of Bingöl at between 09:00 - 12:00 on 13 July,

-Drone activity over Yayladere area of Bingöl for over a week.

HPG further reported that Turkish soldiers from Bilican Regiment and Bilican military post at the borderline of Zap region of Medya Defence Zones carried out a bombardment with tanks targeting the Garêya Biçuk area at between 14:30 - 15:30 on 12 July.

Turkish soldiers at Bilican military post also opened random fire on the surrounding areas at between 19:00 - 19:30 the same day.

Turkish military forces have been laying ambushes in Aşuran and Tari villages of Yayladere area of Bingöl in the last three days, as well as deploying reinforcements to the battalions in Yayladere area, said the HPG statement.

HPG lastly reported that Turkish military forces opened fire on a civilian vehicle on Siirt-Eruh road at around 01:00 on 7th July on the grounds that those in the car were smugglers. A patriotic local inhabitant, Şerif Özekinci, lost his life in the attack which was carried out as a result of a planned ambush, HPG added.
