Bombardment and aerial activity over guerrilla areas continue

HPG first reported the drone activities carried out over the guerrilla zones and gave the following information regarding the areas and the dates of the flights:

-Over Xakurke area of Medya Defence Zones at between 03:00 - 17:00 on 1 July,

-Over Oremar area of Yuksekova district of Hakkari at between 09:00 on 1 July and 11:00 on 2 July,

-Over Govende area at the border of Avashin at between 02:00 - 07:00 on 2 July,

-Over Martyr Rahime and Martyr Şukê area at the border of Avashin at between 08:00 on 30 June and 11:00 on 2 July,

-Over Heftanin area at between 02:00 - 05:00 on 2 July,

-Over Zap region at between 12:00 - 18:00 on 1 July and at between 20:00 on 1 July and 03:00 on 2 July.

HPG further stated that Turkish soldiers from Oremar military posts in Yüksekova district of Hakkari carried out a bombardment with mortar fires on Martyr Bager and Martyr Rahime areas at the Avashin border at between 18:30 on 1 July and 08:00 on 2 July. The forest fire that started previously following the bombardments by the Turkish forces in Martyr Gafur area continues, added the HPG.

HPG said Turkish soldiers from Tabura Gundıkê Mellê military post in Şırnak opened fire with heavy weaponary on Çiyayê Filleh area at between 07:00 - 12:00 on 2 July.

HPG also reported that guerrilla forces carried out a warning action against the thermal power plant in Bespin village of Silopi district of Şırnak at 02:30 on 2 July. HPG said 1 plant centre was damaged in the attack, while 4 rooms of the dam were left out of use.
