Attacks by state forces and resistance by people widens in Silvan

While the state terror continues in Amed's Silvan district, so does the resistance and self-defense of the people against the never-ending attacks by Turkish 'security forces'.

While the state terror continues in Amed's Silvan district, so does the resistance and self-defense of the people against the never-ending attacks by Turkish 'security forces'.

As special operation police teams open gunfire on neighborhoods from armored vehicles, attacks intensify mainly in Tekel and Mescit neighborhoods since the imposition of a curfew by Diyarbakır Governorate yesterday.

'PKK IS THE PEOPLE, AND THE PEOPLE ARE HERE'

Amidst the slogans "PKK is the people, and the people are here" and "Long live leader Apo" being heard from neighborhoods, police try to hinder reporters for DİHA, Azadiya Welat and JINHA from covering the increasingly ongoing attacks.

DIGGER DESTROYED

In the meantime, an armored digger working for DSİ (General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works) has been brought to Mescit neighborhood to fill the trenches dug by the people to protect themselves against attacks by Turkish state forces. The digger has been destroyed with a rocket, and reportedly left casualties.

As police attacks continue in Tekel, Mescit and Konak neighborhoods, riot police units have also blockaded the district state hospital.

Despite the ongoing curfew and attacks, people in the district strengthen their self-defense against the ongoing attacks by special operation police.
