A bazooka attack was carried out against Muþ/Varto District Security Directorate, last night. First reports talk of death and wounded policemen. According to reports a group carried out an armed on Varto Police Station last night. The clash that followed the attack lasted nearly half an hour.

Varto District Governor Mehmet Yýldýz stated that 4 policemen were wounded while local sources reported death and wounded policemen. Following the attack, a number of special operation teams were sent to the district. Among the wounded policemen, two were reported to be critically wounded.
