Out of 20 HDP members who were detained following the attacks of counter forces that left 3 HDP members dead and 8 wounded, including 2 seriously, 14 were remanded in custody, including a minor.
The 20 people who had been detained as a result of house raids by police following the tension in the main Kurdish city Amed, were referred to a court late yesterday evening. The detainees, brought to court in two groups, gave their statements till the morning.
One from the first group was released while the other 7 were referred to the courthouse, demanded to be arrested. Following the testimony at the court, one was released and 6 were remanded in custody for alleged membership to a terrorist organization.
The 11 people from the second group, including Free Journalists' Association Executive Board member Ozan Kılıç, were also brought to the courthouse yesterday. Following testimonies at prosecutor's office till early hours in the morning, 2 were released while the other 9 were referred to court.
Among the detainees, Ozan Kılınç was also released and the other 7 were remanded in custody, again for alleged membership to a terrorist organization.
A minor with the initials Ö.D. who was also detained within the scope of the same investigation has also been remanded in custody by a Juvenile Court.
