The anger of the Kurdish protesters against the brutality of the Turkish soldiers on the guerrillas bodies does not calm down. Police attacked the demonstrators in Yuksekova which caused clashes between police and Kurdish protesters.
At the third day of the protests the shopkeepers did not open their shops and demonstrations are continuing in Yuksekova district of Hakkari. It is reported that Kurdish youth set barricades in the streets and police is using water canons and tears gas to disperse the crowd.
Mayor of the town Ruken Yetiþkin, members of the Yuksekova Peace Mothers Initiative as well as BDP members spoke to the youth in order to bring an end to the protests. However, the youth said they cannot sit down while the bodies of the Kurdish guerrillas are being beheaded or set fire on.
