86-year-old woman arrested for terrorist charges in Van

In raids in the northern Kurdistan town of Ercis, there have been several arrests yesterday. 86-year-old woman Ayşe Bişirgen was also detained for terrorist charges.

The Turkish state continues its political genocide operations against the Kurdish population living in the country, targeting the whole people from children to elderly.

In the North-Kurdistan province of Van, the Turkish police conducted raids in several quarters in the district of Ercis on Tuesday.

During the simultaneous raids, 13 people were arrested for terrorist charges. The accusations against the detainees are not yet known while they are held in the district police department since yesterday.

The detainees include 86-year-old Kurdish woman Ayşe Bişirgen and her two sons Rıfat and Hikmet Bişirgen. Born in 1933, Bişirgen is a diabetic and hypertensive patient. Her relatives are worried about her health.

The other ten people in custody are: Ahmet Polat, Mahmut Bilici, Gülistan Bilici, Mahmut Boşceviz, Ferman Aslan, Turan Deniz, Ahmet Deniz, Fatah Aslan, Saadet Kurşun and İhsan Kurşun.
