Gendarme forces conducted a raid and detained six residents in the village of Akçalı which is encompassed by one of the 'military security zones' declared by Adıyaman Governorate for the period between January 12-26.

The day before, Turkish fighter jets had bombed the rural areas of the Akçalı village, after which Sikorsky helicopters air-dropped a large number of soldiers and police that later started an operation in this territory.
