As the Operation Commander Rubar Qamishlo continues on its 39th day, fighters of the YPG/YPJ (People's/Women's Defense Units) have reached to the outskirts of the city of Tal Abyad.

Entering the eastern borders of Tal Abyad at around 17.40 yesterday, YPG/YPJ forces have liberated 5 villages and 3 hamlets in the east.

The ISIS gangs that have been forced to flee the area after suffering heavy blows in the operation of Defense Units, continue using the local people as human shields.

Gang groups have in the meantime blown up the bridge connecting Tal Abyad to the Cizîrê Canton to hinder the local people from heading to the Cizîrê Canton and use them as human shields.
