33 people detained at Newroz celebration in Amed
Two minors are among those detained at police checkpoints on the way to the massive Newroz celebration in Amed (Diyarbakır).
As many as 33 people, including two minors aged 11 and 12, were taken into custody while going to the Newroz area in the Amed city since early this morning.
According to reports, the persons in question were detained for carrying red-yellow-green flags and wearing t-shirts with the flag and inscription of “Kurdistan”.
