28 Yazidi people comprised of women, children and elderly, who had formerly been abducted by the ISIS gangs in Herdan village of Sinjar, have escaped and reached the area controlled by the Kurdish forces.

According to the local sources, the Arab villagers helped the escape of hostages held in Tel Afer while the ISIS gangs were preparing to take them to another place. The freed Yazidis have now reached safe areas under the control of Kurdish forces.
