13 villages liberated in Kobanê

The statement said that YPG/YPJ fighters liberated the villages of Miko, Heci İsmail, Ehmedê Hüso, Ebiko, El-Ebiko and Sil-Ebiko in west Kobanê as a result of an expansive operation yesterday evening.

Remarking that operations concurrently continued on the southern front, YPG Press Centre said that the villages of Saka, Şexalê and Large Berbonok were cleansed of ISIS gangs in the wake of clashes. The operation on the southern front continued, it added.

According to the statement, a vehicle belonging to the gangs was destroyed with militants inside it, while the number of casualties couldn't be verified.

YPG Press Centre reported that the villages of Berdekê, Xan Memet, Tolikê, Gültep and Rudko road on the eastern front of Kobanê were also cleansed of ISIS groups and liberated as a result of an operation last night.

Corpses of two ISIS militants killed here were seized and 20 traps set by gangs were defused by YPG/YPJ, the statement said.

Noting that Defense Units continued their actions against ISIS groups in Hesekê for the last two days, YPG Press Centre added that 5 gang members were killed and two others were wounded in two actions in the villages of Mitefeîna and Sêda.
