A bomb attack has been carried out against police on duty at Dilucu Border Gate in Aralık district of Iğdır province today.

The bomb attack has left 12 policemen dead, and three others wounded, according to initial reports. Bodies of those killed have been taken to a hospital morgue.

While Turkish forces have started an operation in the area following the bomb attack that targeted a police service vehicle, clashes are reported to be taking place between HPG guerrillas and police in several areas.
