Prisoner Özhan released after 30 years
Fahrettin Özhan, who was held in Diyarbakır No. 1 High Security Closed Prison, was released after 30 years. Özhan said: "I left, but my friends are still inside. One day we will come and take them too."
Fahrettin Özhan (57), who was held in Diyarbakır High Security Closed Prison No. 1, was released after 30 years. Özhan, who was arrested in Istanbul in 1994 and given life imprisonment at the State Security Court (DGM) where he was tried, was kept in Bayrampaşa, Ümraniye, Bursa, Bolu and finally Amed prisons.
Özhan's family in front of the prison, Med Detainee and Convict Families Legal and Solidarity Association Federation (MED TUHAD-FED), Detainee and Convict Families Assistance Association (TUAY-DER), People's Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) Siirt MP Sabahat Erdoğan Sarıtaş was welcomed by the Democratic Regions Party (DBP) and DEM Party Siirt provincial and district organizations.
