Prison guards raid wards with dogs in Urfa
Rights violations in Turkey’s prisons continue increasingly as no action is taken to stop the inhumane and unlawful conditions of detention.
Ayhan Bayar who is jailed in the T Type Prison in Urfa province spoke to his family by phone and denounced ill-treatment by the prison staff.
According to the family who reached ANF, Ayhan Bayar told that guards stormed the wards of prisoners this morning. Bayar said that the books of prisoners were seized during the raid which was carried out with dogs.
