Hunger strike in Lavrio enters day 147

The 34th group took over the hunger strike carried out by Kurdish refugees in Lavrio on the 146th day. The hunger strike is in solidarity with that carried out by political prisoners in Turkish jails.

The 34th group of refugees took over the alternating hunger strike carried out in Lavrio Camp, in Greece, to demand freedom for Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan and in solidarity with the ongoing hunger strike action in Turkish prisons. The hunge strike in Lavrio is on its 147th day.

The hand over to the new group was celebrated with a short ceremony in which refugees spoke against the Turkish state's invasion attacks against Zap, Avashin and Metina in Medya Defense Areas. “There is a very serious and wide attack against our free areas. These attacks are carried out with the help of the KDP. Erdogan will be defeated in Avashin, just as he was defeated in Gare. The Kurdish people have always written epics in their own history. We resisted yesterday, we are resisting today, and we will resist tomorrow.”
