Funeral of six fighters attended by thousands in Kobanê

Six freedom fighters who fell as martyrs in attacks carried out by the Turkish state and SNA gangs were laid to rest at the Martyr Dicle Cemetery in Kobanê.

The funeral of the fighters of the Anti-Terrorist Units (HAT), Internal Security Forces, Women's Protection Units (YPJ) and Commando Forces was held at the Martyr Dicle Cemetery in Kobanê. The fighters fell as martyrs on different days in the Euphrates Canton.

Thousands of people attended the funeral of the martyrs of the Anti-Terrorist Forces (HAT), Internal Security Forces, Women's Protection Units (YPJ) and Commando Forces. Mistefa (Mistefa Îsa), Reşîd (Reşîd Ebdo), Bênav (Welat Ehmed), Çiya Kobanê (Ferîd Misto) fell as martyrs in Qereqozaq on 9 December, Hesen (Hesen Osman) fell as a martyr in Manbij on 7 December, and Berçem Kobanê (Zeyneb Mihemed) fell as a martyr in Hesekê on 1 December.

Speaking at the funeral, Nazê Elî, a member of Kongra Star in the city of Qinê, said: "We are going through a historic process. Our fighters promise not to let the enemies pass. We call out to our people: today is the day of resistance. We must be stronger than ever."

Speaking on behalf of the Internal Security Forces, Şêro Mustefa said: "The path to victory is being determined under the leadership of our heroic fighters. As a nation, we must defend our country and our people. Today, we all see the determination of our forces to resist for a safe and peaceful life."

Following the speeches, the martyrdom certificates of the martyrs were read and delivered to their families.
