Condition of ill prisoner Abdurrahman Gemicioğlu is getting worse

The condition of ill prisoner Abdurrahman Gemicioğlu is getting worse. It was learned that the man also started to lose his memory.

Abdurrahman Gemicioğlu, 67, was arrested on 3 October and sent to Van High Security Prison despite being seriously ill after his sentence was approved by the Court of Cassation in Hakkari (Colemêrg).

Gemicioğlu suffers from colon cancer, prostate and heart failure, and has been referred to the hospital every day since his arrest. Gemicioğlu fell ill on the evening of 25 October and was taken to the intensive care unit of Van Yüzüncü Yıl University Medical Faculty Research Hospital. His treatment has been continuing in the hospital's intensive care unit for 18 days.

The reports to be referred to the ATK are still not ready.

Elif Gemicioğlu said that her father's colon cancer has recurred because his treatment was interrupted, and added: "He started to forget where he is. He forgot that he is under arrest, and he started not to remember people anymore."
