Evaluating the Eutelsat’s decision to stop RojTV broadcast, BDP (Peace and Democracy Party) Co-Chair Gültan Kýþanak said that “This unacceptable decision is a violation of freedom of thought and expression. RojTV is the voice of all of us. We shall protect our voice with struggle and resistance.”

Remarking that the RojTV case is part of the policy of the AKP government and intended to silence the Kurdish people as well as to hide the truth from the society, Kýþanak strongly criticized Eutelsat’s decision which she considered related to the present process of the Kurdish issue.

Kýþanak said that “RojTV is the eye, ear and voice of the Kurdish people; it is the voice of those who demand democracy and peace. No one will be strong enough to silence this voice. The attempt to silence RojTV, which provides broadcast against black propaganda, is in parallel with the AKP government’s policy of destruction and elimination.”

Kýþanak remarked that they would give a struggle against the pressures on RojTV and called on all Kurdish people to display a struggle and resistance to protest this decision and to protect their own voice.
