Women's News Agency (JINHA) reporter Beritan Canözer who was detained in Amed three days ago, has been remanded in custody.

Canözer was taken into custody while covering a march to Sur which was joined by thousands of people upon a call by DBP and HDP provincial organisations. Policemen in Ofis area forced JINHA reporter Canözer into a Ford Ranger car, a common type of cars used by plainclothes policemen, and took her into custody on grounds of "reasonable doubt".

Following two days in custody, JINHA reporter has been referred to a court after giving a statement to a prosecutor today. Accused of “aiding an illegal organisation”, Canözer has been remanded in custody late Saturday afternoon.
