DFG condemns killing of journalists Nazım Daştan and Cihan Bilgin by a Turkish drone

The DFG condemned the killing of free media journalists Nazım Daştan and Cihan Bilgin by the Turkish state, and said: "With the strength we receive from them, we will continue to persistently and stubbornly voice the truth."

The Dicle Fırat Journalists Association (DFG) issued a statement about the killing of journalists Nazım Daştan and Cihan Bilgin, who were following the developments in Northern and Eastern Syria. The two journalists were killed by a Turkish drone attack on the road between the Tishreen Dam and the town of Sirin.

The statement said: "Free Press workers Nazım Daştan and Cihan Bilgin were following the developments in Northern and Eastern Syria. They were targeted by a Turkish drone on Thursday at around 15:20 on the road between the Tishreen Dam and the town of Sirin. The two journalists were killed. The driver of the vehicle, Ezîz Hec Bozan, was injured. We condemn and do not accept this attack on our colleagues.

We will demand accountability for this massacre everywhere, and we will not give up until the perpetrators are brought to court.

Nazım and Cihan were two valuable journalists who brought the truth about the war in Northern and Eastern Syria to the public. With the strength we receive from them, we will continue to persistently and stubbornly voice the truth."
