At least 23 people have been reportedly detained during the police raid on the office of pro-Kurdish daily Özgür Gündem after court order for its closure.

The detainees include people who went to the Özgür Gündem office for solidarity after the court order. All those detained were taken to the Anti-Terror department of Istanbul Police Directorate.
The journalists who have been confirmed detained in the operation are;
Özgür Gündem staff Günay Aksoy, Kemal Bozkurt, Reyhan Hacıoğlu, Önder Elaldı, Ender Öndeş, Sinan Balık, Davut Uçar, Fırat Yeşilçınar, İnan Kızılkaya, Zeki Erden, Elif Aydoğmuş, Bilir Kaya, Ersin Çaksu, Sevdiye Ergürbüz, Amine Demirkıran, Bayram Balcı and Burcu Özkaya, DİHA reporters Özgür Paksoy and Mesut Kaynar, İMC TV reporter Gülfem Karataş and İMC TV cameraman Gökhan Çetin.
Yılmaz Bozkurt from Istanbul Chamber of Medicine and Hüseyin Gündüz from Doğu Publishing House, both of whom came to Özgür Gündem office after the court order for closure, are among those detained.
