PJAK Co-President Muini stated that they will continue the struggle until the liberation and freedom of the Kurdish people is attained, and vowed that Kurds will be the winner of the 21st century.

The Party of Free Life of Kurdistan (Partiya Jiyana Azad a Kurdistanê or PJAK) Co-President Siyamend Muini answered ANF's questions.

You have an active position in the Kurdish Freedom Struggle for a long time. Did you grow up in a patriotic environment?

True, I was born and raised in a patriotic family. My father, both uncles and one aunt sacrificed their lives for their people in the Kurdish struggle. I associate the importance of life with my self-persuasion on fighting for the liberation and freedom of my people. I am giving a struggle against all the dictators around the world, my own geography being in the first place. I continue to serve my people. Within the Kurdish struggle, my grandfather was from JKE and Interior Minister in Mahabad. My family has a common approach; to struggle for the freedom of their people. We have given our lives for this purpose and continue to do so.

PJAK held the 5th Congress. What has changed in the organisation in comparison with the past?

For sure, it is a quite successful development to hold this congress in the current process in Eastern Kurdistan and the Middle East. The congress, which we held on the basis of peoples' liberation and freedom, witnessed significant discussions on how this current process could be assessed and what role we will play in the coming period. We also discussed the democratic peoples' mechanism, made significant decisions and underwent a change in our administration cadre, including the co-presidents. Women make up the 50 percent of our administration, which constitutes an unprecedented model and example in the Middle East and the world. PJAK will have an important role in the formation of the mechanism for the liberation and self-governance of peoples. PJAK, which engaged in only political activities before, will continue with political and ideological activities from now on.

What are your observations regarding the influence your policies made on Eastern Kurdistan and the Iranian state?

As is required by the missions and responsibilities attributed to us intended for the Iranian state, our struggle will continue until the basis for the liberation and freedom of our people is built. In this regard, policies of repression and dirty politics are being pursued against our people. We will not allow the realization of these policies and will continue our struggle against these policies uninterrupted.

In this scope, we have a wide range of plans in Eastern Kurdistan and the Middle East. We will realize every decision we have made during our congress. The third path we defend is the democratic autonomy which is the dynamics of the co-existence, liberation and freedom of the peoples. As the prominent cadres of peoples, we will be leaders of the change and enhance the struggle. We will resist every injustice, pressure, repression and unlawfulness as the protector and leader of peoples. We will build democratic autonomy as long as the Iranian state denies us autonomy and self-governance, which is a right of peoples.

Some gains have been attained during this process and what are the risks that emerge when considering the current situation?

The developing process affects Eastern Kurdistan alongside the whole Kurdistan territory. We need to analyze this process precisely and attain a different result by taking a position accordingly. There is an ongoing war in mainly Kurdistan and the Middle East region. The sovereign forces are in a rush and run activities to protect and watch their own borders. On the other hand, there are actors that have a role in the region acting in line with their own interests. It is being intended to redesign the Middle East territory with this ongoing war. This case reveals different consequences for us, Kurds, who can become the revolutionary leader of the peoples in the Middle East as long as they are united. In consideration of the plans, Kurds can achieve multiple gains during this process. Kurds will be the winner of the 21st century. Everyone should know that we will be the leading force of the peoples in the 21st century as we are creating the democratic building of unity and co-existence.
