HPG guerrilla “killed” by the Turkish media speaks to the ANF

The truth of the AKP government’s special war has been exposed once more with another scandal. Lately, the Turkish army has been employing all kinds of special war methods to cover up their defeat against the guerrilla.

After Süleyman Soylu said “After April, nobody will speak of the PKK”, the guerrillas voided this narrative with several different actions.

Another special war tactic of the AKP state is to serve destroyed guerrilla photographs to the media. Like the freak story titled “Annihilation Pictured” by Sabah newspaper recently. The photograph in question was taken in Amed. The operation continued from December 2011 to March 2012, with thousands of soldiers, and resulted in the death of three guerrillas.

HPG guerrilla Mazlum Amed is also in the photograph. Other guerrillas in the photograph are still in the ranks of the freedom struggle while there are others who were martyred elsewhere at different times.

Mazlum Amed witnessed these operations in 2011 and he spoke to the ANF about them.

Amed stressed that in the months-long operation, several soldiers died and only 3 guerrillas lost their lives and said: “The story Sabah published is far from reality. They do this to cover up their own defeat. Lately they have been serving these photographs and news stories more often. The operation they talk about was in 2011-2012. Jet fighters bombed the area with no regard to surrounding villages or civilians. Aerial attacks continued for days. Afterwards they held a land operation with tens of thousands of soldiers.

They claim they killed many of our guerrilla friends in this operation. According to them, they entered deep inside the guerrilla zones. There is no such thing. Yes, there was a clash. Our friends resisted for months and friends Harûn and Rüstem from Amed were martyred. Separate from the operation, friend Armanc Rojhilat was martyred in an ambush.”

Amed said he himself “died” a couple of times in the Turkish media and added: “In that operation, they claimed I was wounded. I wasn’t. They said that to demoralize the people and my family. Then they said I was martyred in Adıyaman. After my death, they issued an arrest warrant for me. For a dead man?”

Amed said guerrillas Ali, Serxwebûn and Kendal in the photograph are alive and continued: “They are employing a special war tactic with these lies. They want to demoralize our people. When they are defeated in the fight against the guerrilla, they start attacking via the media. As seen in the Bahoz Erdal case, many of their plans have been voided. And nobody believes their lies anyway.”

Other stories along with those on Mazlum Amed are also dispersed via the special war media. Most of these stories have been exposed and AKP’s mask has dropped. The recent Dr. Aydın example also shows this. The guerrilla named Dr. Aydın wasn’t captured in the Turkish army’s joint operation with the KDP, he was injured in an aerial attack one year ago and he was under treatment in Southern Kurdistan. KDP forces made a deal and handed him over to the Turkish army. Even if they hadn’t, in any case MİT officials came to Southern Kurdistan and were involved in the interrogation of Dr. Aydın.

What is interesting is how the media rehashes these incidents with false news.
