After explaining the creation, the basic objectives and composition of national construction and defense of Basque national rights Alduntzin, has mentioned the main activities carried out by Udalbiltza.

The Kurdish mayor of Semdinli, Sedat Tore has begun his speech with a historical explanation of the centralistic and rights denying policy of the Turkish state. Even if in 1921 when the Turkish state was created it recognized the rights of nations and local autonomy, its first constitution closed the door to a possible democratic political development.
The BDP and its elected members face an unprecedented repression. The past few months around 2000 elected members have sent to prison and Kurdish political prisoners in turkish jails number over 6000. Despite this harsh reality BDP’s local work and social support has increased in recent years.
