Zeynep Karaman and Pervin Oduncu, who are held as political prisoners in Sincan Women’s Closed Prison as part of the Kobanê Trial, sent a message to Sırrı Süreyya Önder through their lawyers. Önder is a member of the Imrali Delegation of the Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) and also serves as the Deputy Speaker of Parliament for the DEM Party.

The message read: "We learned with great sadness about the critical condition Sırrı Süreyya Önder is going through. Peace is difficult; it requires faith. Dear Sırrı Süreyya Önder believed in peace and worked for it. As always, we fully believe that he will overcome this as well, through his resistance. Even behind bars, our hearts beat for him. As his comrades, as fellow defendants, we send him our get-well wishes and heartfelt solidarity. Our hearts are with you."
