Siyamend Muînî, a member of PJAK’s Executive Council, emphasized that the war between Iran and Israel will have regional consequences and stated that Kurdish forces in Iran must act in unity and in alignment with the interests of the people during this critical time.
Muînî noted that the crisis in the Middle East has taken on a new dimension with the Iran-Israel conflict, stating that the root cause of this war lies in the nation-state systems and their policies that deny and attempt to annihilate peoples and differences. He remarked that the war between Iran and Israel will further deepen existing conflicts in the region and stressed that this war does not serve the freedom of peoples but is rather the result of both states’ regional power ambitions.
As PJAK, Muînî said they will strive to keep the Kurdish people away from the destructive impacts of war, and that they are always prepared for the developments and outcomes of the conflict.
Recalling that the people of Iran have lived for years under the regime’s oppression and economic deprivation, Muînî said: "The Kurdish people and all other peoples must be prepared for this period. In particular, the Kurdish people must act in unity and with organization during this time. If we are not adequately prepared, the fascist oppression of the Iranian regime may be directed at our people. Therefore, our fundamental duty is to defend and protect our people."
Muînî stated they are prepared for any kind of political or military intervention targeting their people: "If there is any aggression towards our people, we are ready for all kinds of responses."
Calling on all Kurdish political parties and forces in Iran, Muînî stressed that unity is needed regardless of ideological and political differences: "Kurdish forces must stand on the same front ideologically, politically, and militarily during this historic period. The main goal on this front must be to protect our people’s interests against the regime."
