The Mesopotamia Ecology Movement (MEH) said in a written statement that the ecological destruction caused by greed for profit and war continues. The statement added that "the Middle East is undergoing a comprehensive ecological disaster."

The MEH drew attention to the dominant monist mindset and a century of denial in Kurdistan, and said: "While this call is directed at all peoples, we, as the main subjects of both the struggle and the construction of this process, are in a time when we must strengthen this unity even further."

The MEH stated that all segments of society and institutions must embrace this peace, adding: "As part of our belief in an ecological society and our commitment to the struggle, we hereby declare that we will serve social peace with full awareness of our historical responsibility."

The MEH concluded with the following call: "Peace is indispensable for an ecological society. On this occasion, we call on everyone whose heart beats for peace, democracy, social justice, a free naturel world, and a free society, especially individuals and institutions engaged in the ecological struggle, to embrace this process and fulfill their historical mission."
