The fires that broke out in the fields in Dawûd, Merc Ismail and Ali Shar villages to the east of Kobanê have spread to a wider area in a short while. The fires destroyed hundreds of acres of fields, gardens and trees. The fires also spread to homes in the villages.

The fire brigade, the village population and emergency relief committees were able to bring the fire under control after great efforts.
