Mesopotamia Cultural Centre celebrated its 27th anniversary

The hunger strike carried out by HDP Hakkari deputy, Leyla Güven, and the demand to end the isolation imposed on Abdullah Öcalan were underlined time and time again during the cultural event.

The Mesopotamia Cultural Center (MKM) celebrated its 27th anniversary with an event held at Bostancı Exhibition Center in Istanbul.

Hundreds of people attended the event, including many civil society organizations, political party representatives and intellectuals.

The hunger strike carried out by HDP Hakkari deputy, Leyla Güven, and the demand to end the isolation imposed on Abdullah Öcalan were underlined time and time again during the cultural event.

A documentary on the 27 years of the MKM was screened, underlining the importance of the Mesopotamia Cultural Centre in the renaissance and production of Kurdish culture since the '90s.

The event ended with the performances of MKM artists and various other guest artists.
