Many prominent figures gathered in Dresden to hold a conference titled “The Use of the Kurdish Language in Digitalization.”
Kurdish intellectuals and writers from Başûr (South), Bakur (North), Rojhilat (East), and Rojava (West) Kurdistan, along with friends of the Kurdish people, came together in Dresden, Germany, for a two-day conference at the Dresden Kulturrathaus, focusing on the importance of the Kurdish language.
The conference, hosted by Deutsch Kurdische Forum e.V. Dresden, officially began on Friday evening under the title “Bikaranina Zimanê Kurdî di Dijitalizasyonê de” ("The Use of the Kurdish Language in Digitalization").
The opening speech of the conference, where discussions were held on the digital use of Kurdish, was given by politician Lezgin Botan.
On the second day of the conference, Yûnis Behram, the representative of Deutsch Kurdische Forum e.V. Dresden, delivered a speech. Behram highlighted the recent developments that have brought Kurdish unity for the first time, drawing attention to the Rojava Kurdish Unity and Common Position Conference, which was held with the participation of all representatives from North and East Syria.
Following that, Dr. David Klein, Dr. Zerdeşt Haco, Prof. C. Scholtz, Dr. Sherko Hamaani, Sinan Alptekin, and Yadullah Hewramî gave presentations on the Kurdish language, emphasizing the importance of its use in the digital sphere.
