Kurdish Culture Days 2025 to kick off in Nuremberg on May 28

Kurdish culture, art, literature, and cinema will come together in Germany's Nuremberg city for a rich four-day program.
The “Kurdish Culture Days – Rojên Çand û Hunera Kurdî” will take place from May 28 to 31, with the aim of promoting and celebrating Kurdish cultural heritage. The event is organized by Medya Volkshaus e.V.
Festival opening: Music and folklore
The festival will open with folklore performances on Wednesday, May 28, at 5:00 p.m. The opening celebrations will continue with concerts by Azadî at 7:00 p.m. and Cemîlê at 8:00 p.m.

Art and Cinema day
On Thursday, May 29, at 1:30 p.m., the art day will begin with Şengül's painting exhibition. At 3:00 p.m., there will be a fashion show, and at 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., Kemal Ulusoy's film “Rojbaş” will be screened. Ulusoy will meet with the audience during a discussion session at 6:30 p.m.

Literature and panel discussion
On Friday, May 30, literature and dialogue will take center stage. The day will be marked by a performance by a women's choir.
At 5:15 PM, author Hekîm Şefkan will give a book reading. In the evening at 7:00 p.m., a panel discussion will take place featuring Ayşe Acar Başaran, Gernas Koçer, Erol Polat, and Gulîstan Ateş.

Open-air final concerts
The festival will conclude with open-air concerts on Saturday, May 31. Onur Evîn will perform at 4:00 p.m., Bermal Çem at 6:00 p.m., and İbo Qamişlo at 7:45 p.m.
