20 people sent to prison in Izmir and Antalya

Of the 54 people detained in Izmir, 10 were sent to prison on charges of "violating the law on meetings and demonstrations." In addition, another 10 people were remanded in custody in Antalya.

In the protests that began after the detention of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem Imamoğlu, 10 of the 54 people detained in Izmir were sent to prison on charges of "violating the law on meetings and demonstrations."

The names of those arrested are as follows: Emre Sarıkaya, Yusuf Metin Karakaya, Selda Salman, Mert Gökdeniz, Diyar Fındık, Serdar Aktürk, Cemal Kara, Hasip Erkan Gökber, Birkan Polat, and Oğuzhan Salman.

The interrogation of many people in custody is still ongoing.

The Antalya Provincial chair of the Turkish Workers' Party (TIP) Enes Keskin, and nine party members who were detained in Antalya on 22 March were sent to prison on charges of "violating the law on meetings and demonstrations."
