According to the Êzîdî Kurdish community in the German city of Kleve, a fight broke out between the 32 years old Kurdish citizen Kato Arslan and other individuals two days ago. Police officer arrived at the crime scene and intervened in the fight.
According to Arslan’s brother, police officers pressed against Arslan’s back for 7-9 minutes as he laid down on his chest. After a while, Arslan’s brother noticed that Arslan was not moving and warned the police about this issue. Police officers then turned Arslan around and gave him CPR, but Arslan died due to lack of breath.
Kato Arslan was born to a patriotic Kurdish family in the Tiltirik village of Urfa’s Viranşehir district in 1984. Arslan lived here until he was 5 years old and moved to Germany in 1989 with his family. Like most Kurdish Êzîdî families, his family migrated to Germany due to the oppression in Turkey.
