Barzani and Turkish FM meet over 'PKK-Rojava' agenda

Turkish Foreign Minister Feridun Sinirlioğlu has met South Kurdistan Regional Government Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani.

Turkish Foreign Minister Feridun Sinirlioğlu who arrived South Kurdistan yesterday evening was met by KRG officials at Hewlêr airport, after which he went to the Prime Minister's office to meet Nechirvan Barzani.

The meeting between Sinirlioğlu and Barzani witnessed a discussion of the ongoing attacks against PKK locations in South Kurdistan territory, while the Turkish Minister asked for the strengthening of the already existing cooperation between two sides, and voiced the AKP government's expectation in this regard.

Nechirvan Barzani firstly congratulated the AKP on November 1 election and voiced their wish for the forming of the new government in the shortest time, and practice of steps for making a deeper and more strategic cooperation with the Kurdistan Regional Government.

According to the information obtained, Turkish Foreign Minister will meet KRG President Massoud Barzani today. The talk is expected to treat the subjects of Rojava, 'fight against PKK' and oil export.

SİNİRLİOĞLU'S LAST VISIT WAS FOLLOWED BY ZERGELE BOMBING

During the period of his position as the Undersecretary of Foreign Ministry, Feridun Sinirlioğlu was the main actor of the Turkish state's dirty war policies against the Kurdish freedom movement.

His latest visit to South Kurdistan on August 1 was followed by a huge wave of attacks by Turkish jets against the PKK-held Medya Defense Zones.

The Turkish airstrikes also hit the civilian Zergele village, which left 8 civilians dead and 15 others wounded.
