AKP’s new legislation forms the basis of Erdoğan’s plans to confiscate assets of opposition groups and occupy Kurdistan. The new legislation passed by the AKP government and ratified by President Tayyip Erdoğan expands the state authority to confiscate firms and assets.
According to the new legislation, the claim of ‘financing terrorism’ will be sufficient for a firm’s assets to be confiscated. It will also be easier to spy on firms’ managers with the new law.
DECISION TO DECLARE KURDISTAN AS ‘RISKY AREA’
The new legislation also forms the basis of ‘the reconstruction’ of Amed’s Sur district, which was damaged by the state’s genocidal attacks. Accordingly, the cabinet will be able to declare settlements as ‘risky areas’ with the claim that public life and security is disrupted.
Unable to break the resistance in Kurdistan, the AKP government hired additional 15 thousand police officers with the new legislation under the scope of ‘the fight against terrorism.’
