78 civilians died, 298 jailed since after June 7 elections

HDP Law and Human Rights Commission announced that 78 people have lost their lives since after June 7 elections, during which 1,628 people were taken into custody and among them 298 were jailed.

Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Law and Human Rights Commission has released the balance sheet for the period between June 17 and August 26 which witnessed a total crackdown on Kurdish population, including murder of civilians, political elimination operations and attacks on HDP offices.

Accordingly, 78 people have lost their lives since after June 7 elections, during which 1,628 people were taken into custody and among them 298 were jailed. Between 4 and 19 August, nine offices of the party were attacked by racist groups.

CIVILIAN DEATHS

According to the figures compiled by HDP, 78 civilians lost their lives between June 17 and August 26 in Bursa, Adana, Ardahan, Urfa-Suruç, Kilis, İstanbul, Şırnak-Cizre, Şırnak-Silopi, Şırnak-İdil, Mersin, Amed, Mardin-Nusaybin, Mardin-Artuklu, Ağrı-Sıtkiye, Zergelê, Ağrı-Diyadin, Sakarya, Bitlis-Tatvan, Muş-Varto, İstanbul, Hakkari-Yüksekova.

ATTACKS ON HDP

Between 4 and 19 August, nine offices of the HDP were attacked by racist groups in Kocaeli, Kırşehir, Burdur, İstanbul, Antalya, Adana and Osmaniye.
