YPG: Turkish army and jihadist gangs continue their attacks on Rojava

YPG announced that the Turkish army and jihadist gangs continue their attacks on Rojava.

YPG Media Center issued a written statement on the attacks of the Turkish army and jihadist gangs.

YPG stated that Sultan Murad Brigade, Ahrar Al-Sham, 16th Battalion, Al-Fetih Brigade, Sultan Mihemed Al Fetêh Brigade, El Mucahidîn Army, Suwar Al Sham, Ahrar Suruye, Al Shamiye Front, Siqor El Cebel, 101th Battalion, Foc Alewal, Turkmen Front, Ebû Emera Brigade, Al Îslam Army, Kombûna Festeqim Kema Emert, 13th Brigade, El Şemaliye Battalion and Nûreddîn Zenkî Brigade continue their joint attacks on Aleppo’s Şêx Meqsûd neighborhood. YPG said that the gangs launched a comprehensive attack on Şêx Meqsûd from Seken Şebab, Seken Şikeyf, Muselles and Eşrefiye neighborhoods on the night of April 23, and YPG and YPJ fighters repelled this attack successfully. The numbers of dead and injured gangs have not yet been identified.

YPG announced that Ba’thist regime forces carried out an aerial bombardment in Şêx Meqsûd neighborhood at 17:15 on April 23, and claimed the lives of 6 civilians with their use of barrel bombs.

YPG said that ISIS gangs attacked the villages of Hemam and Girê Sor to the south of Kobanê's Şêxler district from southern Jarablus at 10:00 on April 23. YPG forces also prevented the gangs’ attempt the infiltrate into Kobanê, and ISIS gangs attacked Şêxler district at 00:00 last night.

YPG stated that ISIS gangs carried out 3 attacks on the areas to the south, west and southwest of Kobanê's Tişrîn dam with heavy weaponry.

THE TURKISH ARMY CONTINUES TO ATTACK ROJAVA

Lastly, YPG Media Center stated that the Turkish army attacked the village of Ziyaret to the west of Kobanê and injured one civilian at 20:30 on April 23.
