18 bodies of people killed in Cizre and Sur have been sent over to Malatya and Elazığ Forensic Medicine Institutes, where they have been kept unidentified despite the 2 months of time that has passed. The bodies are left unidentified to torment the families and the bodies have been tortured.
5 bodies brought to Malatya from Cizre were too burnt to identify and were buried like that. DNA matching isn’t made although it has been 2 months since.
3 bodies brought under the guise of a clash after the operation was declared over in Sur on March 14 could not be identified by their families due to the amount of burns and torture on them and thus buried anonymously. Body parts from 4 people were retrieved from the debris in Sur on March 21 and were also buried anonymously.
Out of the 2 bodies brought to Elazığ from Sur on March 14, the body of Eşref Polat was identified by his family but the other body has not been identified for 35 days. Body parts belonging to 5 other people claimed to have been found under the rubble in Sur on April 3 haven't been identified either.
