Bombardment continued throughout the night in Şırnak where the self-rule resistance against state forces’ genocidal attacks entered its 44th day. Many houses in Bahçelievler, İsmetpaşa, Cumhuriyet, Gazipaşa, Yeni Mahalle and Aydınlıkevler neighborhoods caught on fire after last night’s artillery aggression.
MANY HOUSES CAUGHT ON FIRE
The majority of houses in Şırnak’s historic İsmetpaşa neighborhood caught on fire last night, and hundreds of houses across the city are too damaged for residents’ use due to the 44 day-long onslaught.
CLASHES CONTINUE IN NEIGHBORHOODS
Clashes between YPS-YPS JIN members and state forces that try to make use of the bombardment in order to enter self-rule areas continue in Bahçelievler, İsmetpaşa and Aydınlıkevler neighborhoods. Many ambulances arrived at these neighborhoods and the number of dead and injured people has not yet been clarified.
Clashes also took place in Tekser, Vakıfkent and Gündoğdu neighborhoods and near the road known as Qilaban last night.
AERIAL ACTIVITIES
Turkish drones continue to carry our reconnaissance flights over the city center and suburbs, and helicopters fly nearby Cudi and Gabar mountains.
