More houses set on fire by state forces in Nusaybin

Nusaybin spent the night under intense bombing and dozens of houses were set on fire in line with Erdoğan’s directive to “burn it down”. Clashes continue in the district.

The curfew has entered its 47th day in Mardin’s Nusaybin district, which has experienced intensified bombing following the Turkish President Erdoğan’s directive to “burn it down”. Dozens of houses in Abdulkadirpaşa neighborhood were set on fire last night during the bombings. The fires were started by artillery fire from armored vehicles stationed around the old hospital and the fire department wasn’t allowed through to intervene with the fires. The fires spread to neighboring terraced houses.

Dozens of houses were rendered useless with the fires that continued into the morning and the attacks did not stop all through the night.

CLASHES CONTINUE

The state forces have yet to enter any of the neighborhoods. The attacks in the district are intensifying while heavy clashes continue in Dicle, Zeynelabidin, Kışla and Abdulkadirpaşa neighborhoods with YPS and YPS-JIN members retaliating.
