Êzidî people living in Shariya camp near Duhok were attacked by the asayesh forces of the KDP during a protest demo condemning the genocide by ISIS in Shengal town of South Kurdistan one year ago.
According to a report by Rojnews agency, the Êzidîs living in Shariya camp 5 km to Duhok wanted to hold a protest demo to condemn the Shengal genocide on its first year anniversary.
Asayesh (public security) forces of the KDP prevented the people as they started a march from the village yesterday afternoon.
Conflict erupted in the area when the mass insisted on staging their protest march and responded to the attack of asayesh with stones.
A girl had her head broken in the attack which left at least eight people injured.
