Wreckage of a plane that crashed in Gare area of guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones in Southern Kurdistan territory yesterday evening has been found.

Local people saw the plane crashing on Gare area after it caught fire over Zap region at around 19:00 Tuesday evening. Turkish fighter jets started shelling this area heavily afterwards.

Reporters on the ground went to the scene in the early morning hours today to see the wreckage of the plane in pieces and stuck under the ground.

It is yet not clear whether the plane, the type of which is yet to be determined, crashed or was downed by guerrillas.
