24 women were taken into custody on 16 March within the scope of the political police operation carried out by the Diyarbakır Public Prosecutor's Office. Among them were politicians, representatives of non-governmental organizations and union leaders.
15 women held at Diyarbakır Anti-Terror Branch were transferred from the police station to the Courthouse.
Yıldız Kardaş was released after her statement was taken at the prosecutor's office, Hatice Efe, TÜMBEL-SEN branch co-chair, Nihal Yanık, Muhibet Özcanlı, Rosa Women's Association President Adalet Kaya, Rosa Women's Association Founder Fatma Gültekin and Rosa Women's Association member Nevin Oyman were released on the same day.
Jale Okkan, Emine Kaya, Sakine Karadeniz, Remziye Sızıcı, Fatma Kavmaz Esma Efetürk and Gülşen Özer, whose statements were taken at the judge's office, were sent to prison, while Hazal Yıldırım was released under judicial control.
