Viyan Rojhilat, a member of the Eastern Kurdistan Women's Defense Forces (Hêzên Parastina Jin a Rojhilatê Kurdistanê,HPJ), spoke to ANF on the occasion of the anniversary of the February 15 international conspiracy that resulted in the forced deportation of Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan to Turkey in 1999.
Viyan Rojhilat stated that women and youth should in Rojhilat (East Kurdistan, Iran) stand up for Abdullah Öcalan.
HPJ Member Viyan Rojhilat, who began her statement by condemning the international conspiracy, stated that the capitalist system powers are using the conspiracy to target the Kurdish people and human values, and she emphasized that the Kurdish People's Leader should be protected.
Rojhilat said, “As it is known, these days mark the 23rd anniversary of the conspiracy against Rêber Apo (Abdullah Öcalan). They intended to enslave all Kurds and humanity in the person of the Leader through this plot. This conspiracy is condemned by us, the Kurdish youth and female guerrillas. All women in Rojhilat (East), Bakur (North), Başur (South), and Rojava (West) Kurdistan, particularly Kurds, must fight valiantly for the leader.”
‘IT MUST BE THE YEAR RÊBER APO WILL BE FREE’
Mentioning the importance of Abdullah Öcalan to the Kurds and other peoples, Viyan Rojhilat said that Abdullah Öcalan's freedom should be ensured.
HPJ member Rojhilat said, “Leader Apo is not only the Kurdish people's leader; he is the leader of all people. All human values, including women's values, were protected by Rêber Apo, who is the reason why women stand up today. In the person of Leader Apo, all women were meant to be destroyed, and all women to be confined behind the walls. The women and youth of Rojhilat must stand up for Rêber Apo as they did in the past, and the following year should be the year that Leader Apo becomes free.”
'BREAK FROM IRAN’S SYSTEM AND JOIN PJAK'
Emphasizing the role of Abdullah Öcalan in the women's freedom struggle, HPJ member Rojhilat made a call to the young people and women in Eastern Kurdistan and Iran: "The struggle of women has been at the forefront of the leader's agenda. Therefore, women in Rojhilat Kurdistan, in particular, should develop a stronger sense of identity with Rêber Apo. Our call to all Rojhilat women is to stand up for Reber Apo. There should be such loyalty that it unites itself more, breaks free from the Iranian system more, and it should secure a very strong involvement in the guerrilla ranks, the PJAK ranks. Because it is this participation that will liberate them and implant the concept of freedom in them. It is joining the ranks of the guerrilla struggle that will strike a crushing blow to the system that has imprisoned our Leader. Therefore, this is what the people of Rojhilat and Iran is expected to do. Because Leader Apo defended all peoples, he defended the Kurds. As a result, we as a nation and the guerrillas owe Rêber Apo; we must return this debt. We must defend our leader in times like this.”
