The HDP Women's Council said in a written statement that it has opened an investigation on the news that HDP Muş Deputy Mensur Işık has been violent to his wife, Ebru Işık.
"We would like to state that we have started the necessary investigation based on the statement of the woman regarding the violence she may have been subjected to.”
The statement added: "The struggle against all kinds of violence against women is our reason for existence and struggle. We reiterate to the public once again that we will stand against violence and whoever uses it.
We will present to the public the results of our investigation and implement the mechanisms required by the findings.”
