Jabhat Al Akrad members who managed to flee ISIS prison in Bab, where they had been held since taken captive by the gangs months ago, told ANF about the brutality of the ISIS.

Cemil Beko who was captured while secretly entering the city to free his family in Munbic two months ago said the followings about the ISIS prison and brutality; “We had made plans for fleeing since the day I was captured. The gangs were perpetrating very savage torture on the people and beheading them in front of our eyes. We had no choice but to escape from the clutches of ISIS. In the room where we were held, there was a window-like place used as air-conditioning. We set our eyes on that window and started to break it piece by piece. After three days of work on it, we managed to break the window and escape.”

Beko stated that 7 of those abducted by ISIS were YPG fighters, and around 50 of those who managed to flee were Kurds. He said the people of Bab provided them a great support in their flight, attributing this to the reaction of the people in ISIS-held areas who witnessed savagery committed in front of their eyes.

Salih Abdo Nehsan had also been abducted by ISIS during their attacks on Kobanê some 7 months ago on the grounds that he served the Jabhat Al Akrad militia. Nehsan remarked they witnessed an ever-increasing gruesome barbarity by ISIS every day during seven months of captivity, noting that the gangs beat a 70-year-old and injured old man from Kobanê to death.

Nehsan stated that he was happy for managing to escape ISIS brutality, but couldn't feel joyful about it when thinking about the hundreds of people still in clutches of ISIS.
