YPG: Violations and attacks by Turkish army and gangs continue

YPG Press Office reported that the invading Turkish regime and gangs under their command continue their violations and attacks on Rojava and Northern Syria.

YPG (People's Defense Units) Press Office released a statement providing information about the continued attacks and violations of the Turkish army and allied gangs against the lands of Rojava and Northern Syria. YPG forces responded to the attacks.

The press statement by YPG is as follows:

“In the afternoon of May 10, gangs affiliated with the Turkish army attacked the Xezawi village in Efrîn's Cindires district with heavy weaponry from the Castle Saman side.

At the same night, gangs attacked the Belune and Celeme villages of Cindires with howitzer fire which left two YPG fighters injured.YPG retaliated against the attacks and hit the positions of the gangs. The number of casualties inflicted on the gangs couldn't be clarified.

On May 11, gangs affiliated with the Turkish army opened fire on Martyr Şilan Hill in Cindires.

The same day, Turkish army increased its activities across Kobanê's Kaniya Kurda neighborhood and continues its works to form emplacements on the border.

The same night, gangs affiliated with the Turkish army attempted an attack near Der Belud village of Cindires. YPG fighters returned fire, which left one member of the gangs dead.

At noon and night of May 13, jets and unmanned aerial vehicles of the invading Turkish army flew over the western borderline of Kobanê amid increasingly ongoing activities of Turkish troops.

On May 14, YPG forces targeted a Turkish scout plane flying over the western borderline of Kobanê. While the plane got out of sight after a while, it couldn't be clarified if it fell down or not.”
