TEV-DEM meets with Afrin and Shehba people

The meeting was to address future political developments in the Syrian war.

The Democratic Society Movement (TEV-DEM) met with Afrin and Shehba people in the village of Til Qerah.

TEV-DEM Executive Board Member Hesen Koçer spoke about the changes that are taking place in Syria and said that these changes are in the interest of foreign powers.

Recalling that the attacks against Afrin were the result of an agreement among various foreign powers, Koçer said that the Turkish state benefits from the contradictions between Russia and NATO.

“A special war implementing cultural genocide, fragmentation and demography change is still going on in Afrin”, he said.

Hesen Kocer said that Syria will be heading for disintegration if the various sections and components present in Syria do not come together.

“Syria - he said - has been turned into a battlefield. Regional and international forces are actually fighting for their interests in Syria. We must organise and build a strong alliance against this cultural genocide and these disintegration plans”.
