Deir ez-Zor Military Council fighters say the Turkish state has allowed ISIS breathing room with the Afrin invasion, but they are approaching the end in Deir ez-Zor despite that and that they will be going to Afrin.

Deir ez-Zor Military Council Member Muhip said they have been fighting against ISIS gangs for a long time and stressed that Deir ez-Zor today is the last place for the gangs, who have been defeated and are at an end point. “ISIS has been defeated here, and they are losing. The Turkish state is giving breathing room to the gangs by attacking Afrin,” said Muhip and added that there are those who fled from Deir ez-Zor and other fronts among the gang members attacking Afrin. Muhip said, “After Deir ez-Zor, we will go to Afrin.”

“WE ALL WANT TO GO”

Deir ez-Zor Military Council Member Imad stated that like Deir ez-Zor and Raqqa, Afrin is also part of their land and that they will never give it up. Ebu Haya said: “Like dozens of places including Raqqa, we will liberate Deir ez-Zor. All our friends here want to be done with Deir ez-Zor as soon as possible and go to Afrin. They are all ready for Afrin, because like Deir ez-Zor, Afrin is part of our lands and we will defend it.”

Ebu Fadi stated that there is no difference between the Turkish state and ISIS/other gangs and added that as the SDF fighters they don’t fight just for Raqqa or Deir ez-Zor. Ebu Fadi added: “We are here to defend all of Syria’s lands. Afrin is part of our lands. We will never abandon Afrin. Turkey and their gangs will not prevail.”
